Nico Robin was originally created by Oda with brown eyes and pale skin. However, unlike other characters, a colored version of her design wasn’t provided to Toei Animation. As a result, the studio had to speculate on her eye and skin colors. They mistakenly decided on dark skin and blue eyes. Following the time skip in the series, they corrected her depiction, making her skin tone white.
