The youngest member of the acrobatic troupe known as the "Flying Graysons", Grayson is a witness to a horrific crime committed by the mafia boss, Tony Zucco. Zucco murders Grayson's parents as part of an extortion scheme aimed at the circus that employed them. Following this tragedy, Bruce Wayne takes Grayson under his wing as his legal guardian and trains him to become his sidekick, Robin.
