Our findings indicate that, on average, Andean Condors spend around three hours flying each day. However, they only need to flap their wings for less than two minutes of that time, accounting for merely 1% of their total flight duration. Remarkably, one individual managed to soar for over five hours without a single flap, traversing a distance of 172 kilometers.
